I am Marius Dumitrescu, your piano and music teacher, as well as the founder of Music Smart.
Back in the day, when I started my piano teaching endeavour, I was on the hunt for the perfect name for my music program. And that’s how Music Smart came to life. I chose this name because it reflects my pedagogical approach and my vision of music learning.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.
Involve me and I learn.”
With over two decades of successful teaching and a rich musical career, I am confident that your piano journey under my guidance will not only be exciting but also incredibly rewarding.

Starting piano lessons with Music Smart is a simple, risk-free process. Follow these three steps:
In our first free, no-obligation meeting, we assess your musical abilities, previous experience with music lessons, piano goals (exams, play for pleasure), the suitability of your instrument, etc. We’ll have a demo lesson, and I am sure you might have questions too.
You will get a better sense of our teacher-student interaction, piano lesson structure and teacher’s expectations; there is no obligation to continue.
Commit to music by terms (12-16 weeks). Learning piano is not a sprint; be ready for a marathon.
You are in good hands!
